Our Team
I’m Chad Johnson—
A recovery coach, storyteller, host of the Not All There podcast and Founder of Lymbic. After more than a decade of sobriety, I’ve made it my mission to help others find freedom from addiction and build lives that actually feel good to live. On this site, you’ll find real conversations, recovery tools & content, and brutally honest stories — no fluff, no preachy BS. Just real talk about what it takes to get sober, stay sober, and love life again. Whether you’re in recovery, thinking about quitting, or just want to understand the messy, hilarious, and beautiful side of it all — you’re in the right place.
Founding Contributors
Our Founding Contributors are the heartbeat of Lymbic
They are the creators, guides, and storytellers who helped shape Lymbic from an idea into a living platform dedicated to recovery, mental wellness, and purposeful living.
Each Founding Contributor brings lived experience, professional insight, and creative depth—offering content that spans addiction recovery, sobriety, mental health, wellness, art, leadership, and sober lifestyle. Through podcasts, essays, video series, travel experiences, coaching, and storytelling, they help prove that life in recovery is not small or limited—it’s expansive, meaningful, and fully lived.
These contributors aren’t speaking at people—they’re walking alongside them. Their voices help reduce stigma, normalize conversation around substance use disorder and mental health, and create real connection through peer-driven content.
Lymbic exists because of these individuals—and this page honors those who had the courage to help build something honest, human, and hopeful from the ground up.
Kieron Brady
Kieron Brady is a former Sunderland footballer who now works in the game through on-pitch field reporting for Premier League broadcasts and as a radio analyst for the BBC. Football has given me a front-row seat to pressure, performance, and identity — both on and off the pitch.
I’ve been in active recovery from alcoholism since June 13th, 2009, and my work is rooted in using lived experience to help others navigate addiction, mental health, and life after the spotlight. I’ve spoken at national mental health conferences including MIND and Samaritans, appeared across BBC and ITV, and worked within specialist intervention services and local government to support individuals and families affected by alcohol misuse.
I’m energized and fully committed to helping build the Lymbic platform. By combining sport, storytelling, and honest conversation, my goal is to reach as many people as possible and help them find purpose, connection, and real happiness through an active recovery lifestyle.

Ryan Lee
Sober Travel & Adventure Contributor
Ryan Lee is the founder of Capsule Adventures, a sober and sober-curious travel company built for people who want to feel fully alive, present, and connected while exploring the world.
Ryan’s path to creating Capsule Adventures was born directly out of his own recovery. After getting sober in 2021, he found that while sobriety removed alcohol from his life, it also opened the door to something far bigger: curiosity, presence, and the courage to experience life without numbing or escape. Like many people in recovery, Ryan discovered that travel—once tied to drinking culture, excess, or distraction—needed to be reimagined if it was going to support, rather than threaten, his sobriety.
Rather than stepping away from adventure, Ryan leaned into it. He left corporate life and began building intentional, small-group travel experiences centered on connection, shared values, and fully felt moments. Capsule Adventures offers immersive trips to bucket-list destinations designed specifically for people who want adventure without alcohol being the focal point. These experiences emphasize presence over partying, depth over distraction, and community over isolation.
For Ryan, sober travel isn’t just a lifestyle choice—it’s a vital part of his recovery. Being in new environments, pushing physical and emotional boundaries, and sharing meaningful experiences with others who “get it” reinforces the reasons he stays sober. Travel, when done with intention, has become a powerful tool for growth, self-trust, and continued healing.
Lymbic is excited and honored to have Ryan Lee as a founding contributor, bringing his lived experience, global perspective, and passion for sober adventure to the platform. Through his work with Capsule Adventures, Ryan shows that sobriety doesn’t limit what’s possible—it expands it, offering a richer, more connected way to experience the world and ourselves.
